Missions
Church
of the Open Door supports a wide variety of missionaries both domestically
and internationally. It is our fervent
desire to continue to expand the mission’s ministry to fulfill
the great commission. Listed below are the various missionaries and missions
organizations we support. (Listed alphabetically by last name)
Rev. Jack and Jan Becker
The Beckers were sent out as missionaries from COD in 1987, their families
having been long-time members of COD. Since June of 2004, the Beckers
have been ministering to migrant workers and their families along with
other Hispanics in the Greeley, Colorado area. Jack leads several weekly
Bible Studies, while Jan coordinates a number of children’s Bible
clubs. They still make occasional trips to Mexico to encourage believers
they have come to know over the years as well as to drop off clothing
and other necessities. Under Integrity Mission, Inc., their ministry
has extended to Hispanics, Navajos, and other peoples of the region.

Greg and Deb Feldi
The Feldis serve the Lord as urban missionaries in the Kensington
section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Seventeen years ago God gave
them a vision
for reaching the lost of this area with the Good News of Jesus Christ,
and in response, they moved to Kensington and established the Urban
Resource Center for Evangelism. Although the primary objective of
their ministry-
to plant a church based upon a strong Biblical foundation- was not
unique, their method of using voluntary workers from suburban and
rural churches
to accomplish this goal, was a bit unconventional.
The Lord has blessed
the Feldis and their ministry greatly over the years. Calvary Chapel
Lighthouse of Kensington has been established through this ministry,
and a multitude of mainly young Christians from outside the city
continue to learn the skills of evangelism and church planting from
their experiences
there.
