Current Study - Twelve Extraordinary Women - How God shaped women of the Bible and what He wants to do with you.

Unlike the historical middle eastern religious thought that supressed women and often treated them as lessor creatures or as slave status, the Bible uniquely features women in an exhalted way. The Bible recognizes their divinely ordained place of honor in the family, society as well as God's Salvation Plan.

The women in this study were unremarkable in themselves. They were ordinary, common and in some cases shockingly low-cast women. However, the God they worshipped is great, mighty, glorious and awesome, and He refined them like silver. He redeemed them, conformed them and made the truly extraordinary. Each has something to teach us about God, His grace and mercy, and His willingness to make us extraordinary as well. By exploring the faithful lives of Eve, Sarah, Rahab, Ruth, Hannah, Mary, Anna, the Samaritian Woman, Mary & Martha, Mary Magdalene and Lydia, we hope to understand their true, lasting, extraordinary legacy, and that God is still working today to do the same for us.
