OUR MISSION

Church of the Open Door was established to develop a body of believers that fulfills the Great Commission on earth (Matthew 28:18-20) for God’s honor and Glory.

This local body of believers emphasizes the preaching, teaching and personal application of God’s Word for the purpose of transforming lives and establishing loving, caring relationships. Therefore, Church of the Open Door seeks to implement these experiences of Acts 2:41-43 and Ephesians 4:11-16 which are:

— Teaching God’s Word
— Emphasizing Prayer
— Committed to Discipleship, Outreach and Evangelism
— Experiencing Vibrant Fellowship
— Providing Vital Worship Experiences

The Lord has given us a tremendous opportunity to represent Him on this earth. What a joy for us to be His ministers in the Fort Washington area. At Church of the Open Door, we recognize the necessity of sharing our life, heart and spirit with those from each of the surrounding areas of Fort Washington. The Bible says much about loving the Lord as well as loving others. This year with our emphasis on Discipleship, we are seeking to invest our life into the lives of others as we seek to impact them with the Love of Christ. What does all this mean? Well, join us on a Sunday and learn what real life can become through Jesus Christ.

Please take time to look through our web sight and when you have an opportunity, plan to visit with us next Sunday. Stop in at 9:30 for a time of fellowship around God’s Word through our Sunday school/Adult Bible Fellowship time. Join us in our worship service at 10:45 for a time of singing hymns, praise songs or enjoying special music from our choir, orchestra, hand bells, or one of our soloists. Then open your Bible as we unfold the Word of God verse by verse unleashing the truth that will set us free. We look forward to meeting you soon as the Lord permits.
